We will start with Arvle Fox, Sallowfang's adopted brother.

            Arvle is a very shy and cute little fox kit, who over the journey, grows to his teenage years and becomes a VERY strong and reliable partner to Sallowfang. He is also orphaned, and I'm NOT going to explain how THAT happened either, because that's in the second book of the series and I will be handing out NO SPOILERS on ANYTHING from that story. Sallowfang raises Arvle after finding him under a tree alone and takes him for the journey, making him the first member of his new pack family. Soon after picking up Arvle, he runs into his next pack member who we shall meet next.
